Ball Sorting Machine

The Ball sensing machine is designed for inspection of correct size of the ball in the bell assembly. This machine is compact with self-contained control panel. Error free sequential operation is ensured with the help of positive feedback interlocks interfaced to the PLC. All the co-ordination movements are performed with the help of pneumatic actuators. This machine consists of the following sub systems:

The basic structure consists of fixture for loading and locating the component. A pneumatically operated clamping mechanism for positive clamping in the fixture. Rotary cylinder to verify the presence of slot in the bell assembly. Six numbers of LVDT’s are provided on the bottom side of the fixture to inspect the correct size of the balls in the bell assembly.

The control system is based on industrial standard and highly reliable programmable logic controller (PLC). It controls the operating sequence of the various operating elements with the help of feedback inputs. The associated electrical control & safety circuits suitably support the control subsystem.
